AATS/USTA JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS SUMMER SESSION 2008

July 28 – August 28

INTERMEDIATE: Age 14 and under (3.0 NTRP)

Match dates:

Thursday, August 7 at 5:30 – 7:30 PM Annapolis High School (5 courts are reserved)
Thursday, August 14 at 5:30 – 7:30 PM Annapolis High School (5 courts are reserved)
Thursday, August 21 at 5:30 – 7:30 PM Annapolis High School (5 courts are reserved)
- At these events all teams participate.
- Each team will play two team matches at these events
League Championship Playoff on Thursday August 28 at 5:30 PM at Annapolis HS
Championship team is eligible for 2009 State tournament
All team and individual results will be reported on the USTA website

Optional: Exhibition matches can be arranged at any time and location by teams.

Cypress Creek Cyclones coached by Chris Hart-Moynihan

Already practicing on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 – 7:00 at Cypress Creek (Severna Park)

Limited number of new enrollees is welcome

Bestgate Bruizers coached by Robert Brown

Practices will be at Bestgate Park in Annapolis on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 – 5:30 PM beginning on Tuesday, July 29^th. Parents and coach are free to negotiate time schedule changes and extra practice sessions.

Bestgate Crusaders coached by Barry Hill

Practices will be at Bestgate Park in Annapolis on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 – 4:30 PM beginning on Saturday, August 2nd. Parents and coach are free to negotiate time schedule changes and extra practice sessions.

Team membership costs and conditions...

New Participants - $70.00 which includes USTA membership; $50 if already a USTA member.
Participants in Session I - $40.00. Participants are not bound to stay with the team they were members of in previous sessions.
Scholarships are available.
If participants miss one of their practice sessions, they are free to make up by going to one of the other sessions. However, in match play, all players will remain with their designated team.
In match play, every team member plays once, before any team member plays twice.
REGISTER/PAY FOR ONE OF ABOVE TEAMS

New Teams not sponsored by AATS...

Invited to participate in league and championship play
All participants must be USTA members
Set their own fees for participants
Engage their own paid or volunteer coaches
Set their own practice schedule.
Pay a team registration fee of $120 to cover administrative costs, insurance, and USTA fees.
League match and championship play schedules will be adjusted when new teams enter the league.
