Background:

Evolving from the Greater Annapolis Tennis School (GATS) and the Annapolis Optimist Tennis School, The Annapolis Area Tennis School, Inc. (AATS) began 10 years ago as a grass roots tennis program dedicated to providing accessible, affordable and fun tennis instruction to the Annapolis Area community.
Present:
As an umbrella "Community Tennis Association" of the United State Tennis Association, AATS strives to include several population segments of the community at large - youth, disadvantaged, senior citizens, and the 'neighborhood players' concept.

Our Special Features:
All persons are accepted into our programs regardless of their ability to pay
A maximum teacher-student ratio of 6-to-1 is maintained in lessons and clinics
Most programs are conducted on public courts
The Board of Directors and administrators are volunteers
